I'm David Fuchs

Do you want to meet a thorough, outgoing and driven programmer who love challenges and to get an outlet for his creative side? I love solving problems and take on whatever comes my way.

I like to listen to needs, twist and turn things around and always tries to find the best solution for all parties. Technology is only a means to an end, first the goal and solution must be defined.

In terms of work I always try to do my best. I work disciplined, efficient and with good mood. In short, an ambitious person that always liked to have many things in the air and I have no plans to stop.

Objectives and characteristics

My goal is to work with challenging and creative problem solving in projects with a clear focus on sustainability, human rights or such. I find it easy to adapt to new environments and conditions, and see problems as an opportunity for me to increase my knowledge in the field. As a person, I am positive, reliable and focused.

I find the driving force in finding smart and simple solutions to problems. It has always been important for me to do a good job and I am used to working both independently and in groups.

Working with Nimblrs platform built on Laravel and Vue.js.

  • SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER [040 Internet, 2018 - 2024]

040 is a web agency where the projects are relatively short. The majority of the projects are built in Drupal, although there are also some WordPress, Laravel and also React and Vue projects.

  • SYSTEMS ARCHITECT AND DEVELOPER [Local Food Nodes, 2016 - 2024]

Custom E-commerce platform built on Laravel with Vue components, multiple API's, React Native app for mobile and more...

  • FREELANCE WEB DEVELOPER [Sole proprietorship, 2011 - 2023]

I take on projects if they are fun and there is time. Usually it is smaller WordPress sites.

  • SYSTEMS DEVELOPER [Bilprospekt, 2015 - 2018] 

The product, a sales and analysis tool for the automotive industry, was built with a React SPA frontend and several Node.js micro services that handled large amounts of data from the Swedish Transport Agency.

  • FULL-STACK DEVELOPER [LRF Media, 2014 - 2015]

Built sites and services around the publisher's content, but also internal help systems both for us developers and for the editorial staff. Frameworks such as Drupal, WordPress, Laravel and React were used.

  • FULL-STACK DEVELOPER [Starweb E-handel, 2011 - 2014]

Development of self-developed platform built on Zend and Symfony.

  • WEB DEVELOPER [Good Old, 2010 - 2011]

Development of sites and web apps, mainly in Drupal and WordPress.

  • WEB DEVELOPER AND FOUNDER [Papillion Handelsbolag, 2008 - 2010]

Designed and programmed websites for various companies. I was also commissioned to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of polsemannen.se and their internal systems.

  • WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS [Phoenix Contact AB, 2007 - 2009]

Responsible for packing and delivery. Contributed to improving and organizing the warehouse and logistics.

I have read and will continue to read courses alongside work. Previous courses include elastic search, digital image processing and C++.

  • SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY [Högskolan på Gotland, 2008 - 2010]

Almost a university degree in software engineering. The program provided a good foundation in software development with a focus on web applications. Got hired during the last course 🤷🏻

  • MECHANICAL ENGINEERING [Malmö Högskola, 2006 - 2007 (cancelled)]

I studied a semester in the mechanical engineering program at the university engineering level, but the specialization felt wrong and decided to interrupt my studies.

  • FIREFIGHTER GROUP LEADER [F21 Luleå, 2003 - 2004]

Completed ten months of military service as a group leader in the R3 platoon that made me a certified airport firefighter. Leadership training was a big part of the training. Elected as shop steward and safety representative for the platoon.

  • TECHNICAL PREPARATORY [Luleå Tekniska Universitet, 2004 - 2005]

Mostly completion of high school courses in the subjects mathematics and physics.

  • THE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM [Midskogsskolan Luleå, 2000 - 2003]

Programs at upper secondary level with a focus on community building. Preparing for further studies in the subject at college and university level.
